Cameron E @RT43860560 1d I don't think it would be possible to make this more opposite to the original books. It looks and feels like random bits stitched from the cutting room floor of fantasy B-movies. The actors all look like stand-ins, doubles, and placeholders for real actors who never show up. None of the sets is believable, and the special effects are ridiculous. There is no character development, everyone is mis-cast, and the creators of this obviously didn't understand even the most basic concepts from the books. In short, it's a colossal embarrassment. Somehow, Rings of Power has managed to be an even more disrespectful adaptation of a beloved work of fantasy, combining a failure to respect or understand the source material, with some truly awful writing.
