In midlife, soul mates Barbara (Viveka Seldahl) and Martin (Sven Wollter) finally meet. At first, their mutual sexual attraction is disturbing and undeniable, but their love for music further fuels their passion. Martin is a composer and conductor, and Barbara is first violinist in a symphony orchestra which he guest-conducts.
