For starters, we didn't need Supergirl. I think the writers probably knew had they called the movie "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" it would have drawn a smaller audience, but they stuck her in there anyway. Fans came to see a movie about the Legion, so having the majority of the Legion conveniently absent is just lazy writing. My guess is either they put the intern writers on this or more likely, the WB studio execs gave their "creative input" as they have done all too often in the past and created this hot mess. I think they felt the need to tie the story into the 21st Century JLA, but had they cut out those 20 minutes and the Supergirl story, made it an LSH story with the Legion of Super Villains perhaps, it would have been much better. Or a post-Crisis story in the 31st century. Unfortunately now we'll probably never get any more LSH stories because they screwed the first one up so royally. This movie follows the journey of Supergirl, as she struggles with to live her new life on Earth. Kara is encouraged by superman to attend the Legion Academy in the 31st century. One of the highlights of the movie is the portrayal of the diverse group of students at the Legion Academy, each with their unique powers and abilities. The interactions between the students and their dynamic personalities add depth to the story and make for an engaging watch. The animation is visually appealing, with vibrant colors and action-packed sequences that showcase the superheroes' powers in an exciting way. However, the Mon-El storyline may not be everyone's cup of tea. Some viewers may find it distracting or unnecessary to the overall plot, and it may not resonate with fans of the original comic book source material. Additionally, there are some choices made by the writers that may leave fans feeling disappointed or confused, as they deviate from the established lore of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Despite its flaws, Legion of Super-Heroes has its strengths in its diverse cast of characters, visually appealing animation, and action-packed sequences. Fans of the superhero genre and animated movies may find it an enjoyable watch, but it may not be suitable for those who are familiar with the source material or have high expectations based on the original comic book storyline. The post credit scene made me want to watch the next movie so bad. See more Kyle M @RT77296778 09/16/2023 Standard entertainment over constant art with pieces of flawed constructive collaboration, the latest interconnective installment not only a given film treatment over the eponymous assortment's arc, as well decidedly forgives its elliptical establishment, but relishes over its dynamical personalities and bonding chemistry being typically well-performed with fun fitting charisma.
