A mess of a movie, looking to contort Chabon's novel into a darkly personal story of choice and desire. Instead the film sloppily lumbers around in search of a consistent dramatic path. It's handsome enough, just wildly misguided from frame one.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Haven't read the novel so my judgement on this film is far less biased than the harsh reactions found here. I'd say this is a very good-looking and even lightly absorbing piece of coming-of-age fare. The supporting cast is perfect yet somehow the filmmakers couldn't find a very convincing compatible actor to portray 'Art' the main character.
