A young woman (Liza Zaitseva) volunteering in Kyiv is given one of the thousands of laptops donated by ordinary Ukrainians to support the war effort. The woman receives a mysterious video call from a young boy searching for his father, the laptop's previous owner, who went missing during the Russian army's invasion in Bucha. Reluctantly, she agrees to help find his missing parents--a decision that will ultimately force her to risk the lives of her own loved ones.

Though the film itself has a unique place in the larger landscape of modern politics, it does stretch itself very thin by frequently inventing new reasons for the story to keep going rather than resolve.

A terrible film with a terrible plot. As a Ukrainian, I have to admit that for us, it looks like the bottom of cinema. The directors are either trying to show the phantom existence of "good Russians" in the heroine's interactions, or that she is so narrow-minded that she sends her loved ones to their deaths because of her cockroaches, but it's all terrible.
