That Urban Justice eventually devolves into yet another tedious Steven Seagal actioner is particularly disappointing, as the movie boasts an opening half hour that essentially possesses the feel of an old-school Seagal effort. Go to Full Review

A cut above the usual kick butt orthopedic surgeon's wet dream, with Steven Seagal looking dapper, mean and bulked up in leather. Go to Full Review

thiago s @Thiagostone 3d Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom See more Christopher J 11/17/2024 best seagal film since ticker See more William D @Williams0604 11/27/2023 This is an okay film. I would recommend watching it once only. See more Steve S 08/12/2022 The first decent movie Seagal has made probably since "Under Siege 2" (and even that was stretching it). No annoying voiceovers doing his lines, no body doubles doing his fight scenes…in fact, in "Urban Justice", Seagal even sheds the heavy overcoat and is briefly seen walking around in a simple t-shirt. The fight scenes are clearly visible with Seagal doing his thing. I seriously doubt he's been surfing the internet reading a bunch of reviews and sobbing uncontrollably at his nay-sayers, but it does appear that - here, in "Urban Justice" at least - Seagal has stepped up to the plate. Now, don't get me wrong: This is no second coming of "Above the Law" or "Out for Justice" but it's at least a decent film, especially for a Direct-to-Video. Yes, it was produced by Seagal himself, and of course he comes across as seemingly indomitable (and even that was shelved as he actually took a bullet in this film!). But it's still a very watchable movie, especially if you're a real Seagal fan…and we do still exist, believe it or not. Be advised that if you have delicate ears, this is not the one to watch. (Are any of Seagal's films rated "G"? I didn't think so...) The storyline centers around corrupt cops, multiple street gangs in LA, and a bitter father grieving the loss of his son; I promise you, they're not sipping tea and saying, "Top o' the morning, old bean; would you be a dear and pass the crumpets?" The language is extremely rough and pervasive. Seagal carries his role well (come on, it's Steven Seagal), and Eddie Griffin definitely plays his part to perfection. The other roles are so short-lived, or rarely seen, that you wouldn't care if they were Oscar-worthy or not. Danny Trejo makes a very brief appearance - each hand on the long, slender, bared leg of a beautiful woman, as is his custom LOL - but sadly, it is a VERY brief appearance. I was disappointed Trejo didn't play a more central role here, but I guess he got Seagal back a few years later in "Machete". I continue my journey through the long list of Steven Seagal movies, and (sadly) expect to get a lot more disappointments, but this was actually a fun - albeit brief - respite from the string of horrors I've put myself through in recent weeks. If you're a Seagal fan, chances are you'll probably (like me) enjoy this one. See more Read all reviews
