Ten years later, an unexpected tragedy brings Percy back to Barry's Bay, where she has to face the people, memories, and mistakes she thought she'd left behind, especially the one boy who changed her life forever—Sam Florek.

These characters have genuine chemistry, and thanks to the story structure, viewers will feel as though they’re growing with them. That structure also means it’s easy to predict where the story is going, but the real fun is in getting there. Go to Full Review

Six summers to fall in love. One moment to fall apart. A weekend to get it right—Carley Fortune’s bestseller is now a YA series for romantics of all ages, especially those who never got over the loss of "The Summer I Turned Pretty." Go to Full Review

This book-turned-TV adaptation has some charm but an overly familiar plotline; viewers' judgment may hinge on how many romance narratives they've consumed, the better to spot the tropes. Go to Full Review

anna S @broski22 9h Its a binge watch kind of show. Great chemistry between the characters, not the typical cheating on the guy with his brother plot. The characters have depth and are well written. I am looking forward to the next season. See more Jack H @JackH245 11h With dialogue like "35? That's pretty old" Talking about the guys mother who by definition would be very young for the mother of that teenage girl, need I say anymore?! I loved the horror posters and classic film watches and location but that's it. Carson MacCormac is a great actor but casting him as the younger Charlie who looks nothing like him whatsoever was really strange. Cringey dialogue. See more Simona P @RT20780308 18h Slow, boring, irrelevant. I kept watching it all just hoping it would become interesting at a certain point. Spoiler: it didn't happen. This "wannabe" TSITP doesn't live up to the hype . Unengaging storyline Weak acting Rhythm so slow-paced you can barely stand it No peaks, no emotions, no crescendo... all pale and basic. Not worth the time spent watching at all. Get back to Off Campus: that is the real blast of the summer! See more Adam O @RT83972871 1d Compared to the books it’s a miss. The locations could have been better in Ontario. Now for the cast. Perry is not a good fit, she is the weakest amongst the cast. It doesn’t feel like anyone actually wants to act and just runs through the script The flow is rough, it makes no distinction when flipping between timelines and does it so quickly it’s hard to get a handle on what version I’m watching and how it applies to the story. Overall, compared to other adaptations it falls flat, I’m not drawn to it and I’ll just say, can’t wait for off campus to perk me back up. See more sophia A. @sadams4 1d In a post Heated Rivalry and Off Campus world, people are now used to quick, to the point stories that don’t require them to think critically and watch shows about layered characters. They need nudity flashing at them and crazy twists and drama to be considered good, when that’s just not reality. This show is beautiful, the slow burn and ensemble story allows it to find its footing in the first season and explore more in future seasons, rather than wrapping up everything in 8 episodes. See more Natalia F @RT68238679 1d As many reviewers already said, this show was nothing special and boring. I'm not familiar with the source material, but regardless, it could learn from 'Off Campus' how to adapt source material. The other thing it could learn from 'Off Campus' is casting male leads — this one was so bland, and his facial expression annoyed me even more than the story did. The biggest problem about this show it took itself too seriously but couldn’t execute even the 1/3 of what it thought of itself See more Read all reviews
