Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name.

Critics Consensus

The Boys stays true to its form and completes its mission with ample panache, narrative pay-off, and an excess of blood and guts to deviously glorious effect.

The Boys’ latest comeback is proving to be promising, though, in a way that bodes well for the conclusion of a series that once felt profane, fresh, and exciting. Go to Full Review

Jawad S @RT14981635 1h Whoever liked this low level show is just pathetic. Pure disgust while watching - you got naked trans characters now showing (full nudity), characters with a long dick super-power, and worse. Most of the shows target audience if 12 year olds which is very worrying when you think about it. No real story or character development - just pure disgust. Tell you a lot of the writers, directors, and actors - low level. Watch it if you're a sociopath See more E K @RT12047358 9h More of the same great stuff. So glad this season isn't pulling a GoT or anything lame like that. If you've enjoyed it so far, you'll enjoy S5. See more Kyle reise T @RT96215528 10h Yeah we get it Orange man bad, isreal good, Ukraine bad, just give us what we want fight scenes See more Christopher K @RT87093410 11h A pseudo-intellectual lecture from left-wing ideologues who put messaging above entertainment. The Boys has become terrible. It constantly mocks Republicans and religion, portrays transgender activists only as victims while ridiculing anyone who disagrees, and mixes all of that with flashy superhero elements to distract viewers from the lecturing. It throws around references to Marxism and fascism, mocks conservative media, and presents everything in a completely one-sided way—as if being patriotic automatically makes someone stupid. Those tactics come across as the behavior of people unwilling to engage in honest debate, relying instead on ridicule because they cannot defend their views when challenged. Ideas that cannot withstand scrutiny are weak ideas, and the failed ideologies they keep trying to revive have a long history of collapsing under the weight of reality. See more Max C @RT47941922 19h I'm 15 at the minute and when this finishes I'll be a month from 16 and I have watched this since it first debuted in 2019and it has always been one of my favourite TV shows for its gore and violence and graphics. An absolute must watch in any case See more Dennis B @RT05072423 20h The Boys revels in sadomasochism – homoeroticism –– violence – torture – family disfunction – focused on concurrent disorders disguised as an irreverent look at today’s culture. Each episode has a cringe-worthy scene but in a unhealthy way – highly watchable. See more Read all reviews
