I’m surprised it got 43% on RT. I turned it off halfway through, angry at myself for watching it. The cast is excellent, and there are some great twists, but it ran a little longer than it needs to. Cut about 30 min and this is a 10/10 film. One of the first intriguing genre benders for me with plenty of nostalgic value. Loved both elements of it. The horror of the supernatural and the horror capable by human beings. The blend of the narrative beats of an investigative thriller with that of a supernatural horror worked well for me. Whatever the opinions of critics, I loved the ending.
