Austin H @STAiN_oo Aug 19 I was so surprised to see such a low score for such a great movie. Every time I bring it up or talk about it, everyone says how much they love This movie. Then I realized that the people who write movie reviews are far too old or too interested in production quality over a fun 90s-00s time capsule like this. As a film school graduate born in the year 2000 i can confirm that this film was never too scary or too dumb or low quality to watch over and over again and I highly recommend it to any Scooby Doo fan. This is easily one of the strongest Scooby-Doo casts ever assembled. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Linda Cardellini, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Matthew Lillard completely understood their characters and brought Mystery Inc. to life in a memorable way. Is the story cheesy? Absolutely, but that is part of the charm. Scooby-Doo has always been about mystery, friendship, humor, and over-the-top adventures, and this movie embraces all of that. The chemistry between the cast is what makes the film work because these characters feel like the team fans know and love. The CGI has aged poorly, but it fits the early 2000s era and adds to the movie’s unique style. The film has flaws, but it is creative, fun, and different. Overall, Scooby-Doo is not a perfect adaptation, but it is a wild, entertaining adventure that delivers the goofy energy fans expect. Again!!
