After a bite from a genetically altered insect gives him superhuman abilities, teenage loser Rick Riker (Drake Bell) decides to use his powers for good. Donning an uncomfortably tight costume, Rick becomes a mysterious crime fighter known as The Dragonfly. But standing in the way of truth, justice and the American Way is an evil villain known as The Hourglass, who plans to become immortal by sucking the life force out of anyone who gets in his way.

A completely absurd and dated parody that relies on cheap gags, but if you switch your brain off, it’s perfectly entertaining for a nostalgic afternoon. Nothing more than that.

How this movie made me feel in one word: Mindless. This film is one of the better entries in the "spoof" genre. It's pretty dumb, but also entertaining for those who have seen early 2000's superhero movies (i.e., Spider-Man & X-Men). There are a lot of funny quips, that are honestly better viewed in a TikTok or Reel. Best Character: Rick Riker Best Quote: "I'm not wearing diamonds" - Dragonfly Best Scene: The Dinner

Half the film is just close ups of the kid reacting to stupid shit, the other half is recycled jokes from previous Nielsen films.
