LD S @RT46317321 07/14/2025 A very interesting movie with a classic femme fatale lead character. If someone is looking for a good example of what a femme fatale is just watch this movie. Leslie Brooks does a great job as the lead, with a strong supporting cast. That last scene was not only an awful copout but completely out of character for the protagonist. Shame, because I enjoyed watching the lead actress and most of the supporting cast. Yeh, it was a 'B' film noir, but as others sd: it was a 'CLASSIC' noir. And the star, LESLIE BROOKS, was Gorgeous as the killer newspaper writer. But I couldn't find any reason why this 1948 film was the second to last movie of her career. Cuz in 1950 she got married for the next 51 years.
