Critics Consensus

Carving out a unique identity for itself in the DCU while closely resembling a litany of body horror classics, Clayface takes time to get going until it eventually morphs into an icky and satisfying revenge thriller.

A refreshingly twisted tale of revenge, Clayface is a horror-fueled comic book adaptation that breaks from conventions while still delivering a satisfying emotional core.

The biggest setback Clayface has is also one of its biggest strengths. How the film approaches its modest budget is incredibly clever, but the scenes with CGI probably aren't as polished as you'd expect.

Didn't know much about Clayface other than the surface of him but this movie made me like this dc villain. The acting and writing were genuinely awesome and made me feel for the character. Genuinely a verry good movie would 100 percent recommend!

I liked that it is a clear cut villain movie where you can have sympathy for the villain and can blame the villain at the same time.

Matt Hagen’s story started in an animated series of the Batman and they captured all the essence of the character.
