Lauren Adrian (Jennifer Lopez), a Chicago reporter, travels to Mexico to investigate the unsolved murders of hundreds of Mexican women taking place over the years near an American-owned factory. Lauren reunites with Alfonso Diaz (Antonio Banderas), her former lover and colleague, who publicizes the murders despite threats from local authorities. Together the pair seek the truth and try to help the survivor (Maya Zapata) of a brutal attack find justice.

Michael W @mawilps May 10 This crime movie was great. Jennifer Lopez, Antonio Banderas, Martin Sheen, Maya Zapata, and the rest of the cast did a great job in this movie. This true story about the murders of thousands of women in Juarez, Mexico was dramatic and dark. It's about finding the truth and doing whatever it takes to get it. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching. Purtroppo però il montaggio e la sceneggiatura sono dozzinali, banali nell'esecuzione e sottomessi dalla pessima performance di Jennifer Lopez che carica di tensione ogni suo singolo sguardo risultando totalmente fuori luogo rispetto alla semplicità delle performance di quasi tutti gli altri attori. Una soap opera mascherata da film a cui si aggiunge una regia vecchia e non brillante. Alla fine viene salvata solamente l'idea.
