See more Efraín D @RT10127223 03/03/2025 I really enjoyed this movie; it’s a blatant rip-off of the Pokémon franchise, it uses stereotype, presents ridiculous deus ex machina situations, and mashes all kind of cultures (Mexica, Chinese, Egyptian…) to show us a far-fetched blend that starts as a Pokémon season and ends as a Disney flick, going first through Super-sentai/kamen raider look-alikes fighting in low budget “Dragon-ballish” conflicts (e.g. think Genki-dama powering up and the end of Digimon 2 series fused in one scene XD). Still interested? You should be! It’s to some extent all we Mexican kids liked back when the movie was created, but it is quirky, outlandish and light hearted… I loved it despite (and probably even more because) its many flaws, context and rough around the edges nature (including the clunky advertising of Mexican products in screen and many other little details). So bad it is good, you say? Hell yeah!
