Bunny is a streetwise hustler working a quick job when everything goes sideways fast. Thrown into a fight for his life, he turns to his best friend Dino for help. What follows is one wild, sweltering summer day and night in their East Village tenement, as the two scheme with a crew of eccentric neighbors to cover up a dead body. With the NYPD circling, chaos reigns as the clock ticks and the heat rises. Bunny's only goal is simple: survive the night without getting caught or killed.

Bunny is a New York movie that eschews realism but still brims with authentic affection, and in doing so, bursts with life. Go to Full Review

You feel the hustle of Bunny in every frame. Alive, exciting, funny, and original, Bunny is gem not to be overlooked. Go to Full Review

Sweats to hit the 90-minute mark, and it all builds to a happy ending that is not in the least bit plausible, but as a directorial calling card, Bunny makes for an entertainingly good time with good company. Go to Full Review

For a film that begins with urgency, it quickly devolves into a series of characters popping in and out, which makes it more like a running gag than a running storyline. Knock-knock jokes have more zip and panache than any line in Bunny. Go to Full Review
Carla Hay Culture Mix Nov 23
Bunny is a shaggy but watchable 2020s movie that pays tribute to stoner comedies of the 1990s. The plot (about New York City apartment dwellers trying to hide a dead man's body) drags and wears thin, but there are some genuinely funny moments. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 2h Bunny is an absolute mess from start to finish, failing on nearly every cinematic front. Set in a grimy, rundown apartment building, the film tries to blend sexual tension, assault, and murder, but none of it ever feels grounded or coherent. The story drags endlessly, with no clear direction or resolution, leaving viewers lost in a chaotic, meaningless void. The screenplay is abysmal—opaque, unimaginative, and painfully predictable—offering no emotional connection or creative depth. The cast is miscast, delivering wooden performances that further drag down the already collapsing narrative. Technical aspects like lighting and editing only exacerbate the chaos, making scenes feel jarring and amateurish. The direction is baffling, likely self-directed by an actor, resulting in a film so self-indulgent and unfocused that it becomes unwatchable. Overall, Bunny is a catastrophic failure, a disjointed nightmare of a movie that has no merit, no entertainment value, and no reason to exist. Better then most 50 million dollar movies and probably made for under 50k. What's more impressive is the only guy I recognized is the cop who believe is the guy from *office space*, which means a bunch of "unknown" actors did what 95% of actors that are on the tube can't/don't.. The energy hustle and stress is felt in every minute of the move. Just enough stress to keep you intrigued and wanting to see what the next move is going to be. Not a boring day in that neighborhood. 👍👍 See more john g @Gavonne 2d It helps if you are from NYC and appreciate the vibe without being turned off. But I think most will enjoy this offbeat comedy.
