Teacake (Joe Keery) and Naomi (Georgina Campbell), two young employees of a self-storage company built on the site of an old US military base, have their wildest night shift ever when a parasitic fungus escapes from the lowest sublevel of the base, where it was sealed by the government decades before. As the temperature rises underground, this highly contagious and rapidly mutating microorganism multiplies and unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting terrors on the facility's inhabitants -- human and otherwise. With time running out, it's down to Teacake and Naomi, with the help of a grizzled retired bioterror operative (Liam Neeson), to contain the merciless menace and prevent the explosive extinction of Mankind itself.

It’s a smart, entertaining variation on a familiar formula. It’s clever without being smug, scary without losing its sense of humor, and messy in the most enjoyable way. Go to Full Review

Keery and Campbell need laid-back vibes for most of their scenes to work, but without a sense of urgency, the whole genre element falls flat. Go to Full Review

It strikes a nifty balance between the sardonic and the stressful and throws a lot of gnarly gore and gook into the scenario, as a bargain. Go to Full Review

The film has the right tone for a fun little horror comedy and yet its lack of scale and urgency on top of spending more than half the film looking for the fun prevents it from achieving the requisite amount for a justifiable distraction. Go to Full Review

Miguel 11h If you enjoy contained sci-fi thrillers with strong visuals and steady tension, Cold Storage is worth checking out. The movie delivers solid creature design and a focused setting that keeps the pressure on. While the characters aren’t especially deep, the pacing and concept help carry the film from start to finish. An entertaining, accessible sci-fi thriller for fans of creature features and contained survival stories. See more TM 13h My favorite kind of movie! It’s a low budget movie with an 80’s flavor and typical Liam Neeson! Loved it! See more Derek G 13h My wife and I had such a fun time with this. It’s nice to see a simple fun and thrilling movie once in a while. Don’t let this one pass by. It’s basically modern day Andromeda strain! Loved it! See more John 1d It was a funny and entertaining movie. Sometimes that's all you need. See more Samantha H 1d Even though its a bit on the shorter side its a very good watch! Entertaining throughout the entire thing. See more Caitlin 1d the acting was fine but the CGI could have been a little better. See more Read all reviews
