Critics Consensus

Bruce willie shot aside, the only other things popping out in Color of Night are some ridiculous plot contortions and majorly camp moments.

This wholly terrible movie is far more enjoyable and astonishing than many halfway good ones.

The killer may find his target, but Color of Night fails to hit the nail on the head by a frustrating margin.

I'm tempted to go ahead and explain just exactly how transparent -- and implausible -- this mystery is. But then I don't want to spoil it for people who are even worse than I am at this sort of thing. People like Forrest Gump.

An erotic thriller so ludicrous that it may possibly be intentionally parodic.

With the slowness of the revelations, much of it becomes guessable too soon - helping the climax to feel outrageous and even farfetched.

A riotous, larger-than-life thriller, one laced with blood, eccentricity, swooning sound design, a rogues gallery of amazing character actors, relentless sex and, for the curious, a prime peek at star Bruce Willis' impressive full-frontal member.

Such a strange movie. Much longer than it ever needed to be, and a clear difference between what the writer intended the movie to be rather than what the director was paid to make. A distinct 90s movie.

A very seductive psychological thriller. Good movie. Who would stand in the end, only time will tell.

Terrible but there is something oddly compelling (or at least watchable) in the movie's increasingly insane twists and turns.
