This second horror anthology presents more eerie tales based on Stephen King stories. One episode finds a cigar-store Native American statue coming to life to avenge the death of the shop owner (George Kennedy) and his wife (Dorothy Lamour). Another features a group of teens menaced by a blob-like creature. The final installment follows a wealthy and callous woman (Lois Chiles) who hits a hitchhiker with her car and decides to flee the scene, but the victim isn't inclined to remain dead.

Not even the melding of Stephen King and George A. Romero's writing sensibilities can elevate this spineless anthology, which is too simple in its storytelling and too skimpy on the genuine scares.

Greetings from Lithuania, "Creepshow 2" (1987) for me was as fun and entertaining as a first film. I've watched them both back to back for the first time only in 2026, and had fun. This sequel has less stories but 3 that they are are more fun then some in a first film. Third one was a standout - hilarious and funny. Practical effects in "Creepshow 2" are amazing, especially in third episode. Stories are simple yet effective. Acting varied from good to so so to good. Overall, to my surprise considering a low rating of "Creepshow 2" I did enjoyed it as much as the first one. More simple, tightly paced but never boring, with terrific practical effects (Tom Savini!) this film is a pure fun.

Somewhat entertaining, but nowhere near the fun of the original. Cheap all around, and with King and Romero, you’d expect more—this is amateur hour. Watchable if your game gets rained out and you’re stuck inside.
