I’m all for camp Christmas classics, and a mince pie and open fire will still probably make this a worthwhile Advent watch for some, but it’s painfully earnest, without either the knowing absurdity of, say, Last Christmas, or the wit of Elf.

my teacher recommended this movie to me, and I've never seen anything better. It's LIFE CHANGING and I mean it. I have learned so many things by watching this movie that you could never learn anywhere else. I am In a chokehold because of this movie. Life would be different without it, after I got divorced I had apart of me missing. this movie patched the hole in my heart. I have learned how to be better and treat others around me kindly and with respect. I now donate money to children in need. all for our god dolly parton 🙏BLESS🙏

Honestly, it is kind of impressively bad. I love Dolly, but this is just a worse version of all of the Christmas classics it takes from, like Christmas Carol and It's A Wonderful Life. The script is really bad, a lot of the acting is rough, and the music, while nice, doesn't feel like it belongs in this movie. There are a few good elements, but they don't improve one of the worst Christmas movies I've seen in a while.

I turned into this movie thinking the music would be inspiring and beautiful. The writing was horrible but the music was just as bad. I'm totally blown away that someone that does music so well could get it so wrong. I had to stop watching half way through. It was just unbearable.
