See more Addison B @AJ_BEAN Aug 8 I just don't get it. I had heard about this movie being good for a while and I went in excited. I just was...dissapointed. It didnt suck, it was just nothing to remember. I was Bored especially the middle of the movie. The chemistry between all the characters was just not there. Honestly I was confused by each characters motives and actions the whole time...it just felt so random. The end when Enola finds her mom (you guessed it!) was so random. Nothing made sense. Pacing was extremely uneven. But, I will be honest it was visually stunning and did a great job bringing the time period to life. I would not mind having this movie on while baking or drawing. See more Benjamin W @Code70 Aug 3 Some solid streaming fun. This is a Netflix streaming film, and you can feel that. But at the same time, it’s pretty solid for one of those, screenwriter Jack Thorne (Adolescence, Lord of the Flies) conjures up a solidly intriguing mystery with a lively set of characters, with Millie Bobby Brown as the star, Henry Cavill as Sherlock himself, and some other familiar faces making this a breezy good time with their star power. It’s not like the mystery is incredibly brilliant, and there’s not much reason this thing has to be pushing two hours (much of this screen time felt bloated). As well, some of that Netflix streaming slickness can distract from its environment. But overall, this is a pretty good time. It’s a good bit of fun, and it makes for a solid family night, I would say.
