Decades after her return from Oz, Dorothy Gale, now an elderly woman, is tormented by memories of a world no one believes existed -- a world that has grown darker with time. Whispers of that land still haunt her dreams, and its nightmares have begun to reach beyond the yellow brick road into reality, threatening everything she holds dear. Her granddaughter, Emily, inherits the curse tied to her family's name. Drawn by unanswered questions and visions she cannot explain, Emily finds herself pulled into the ruins of a realm once filled with wonder, now decayed and ruled by madness and horrors. There, she encounters the twisted remnants of familiar figures and discovers that the line between past and present, dream and reality, has been shattered. To escape, Emily must confront the terror that consumed Dorothy, and the truth about Oz -- and what really lies at the end of the yellow brick road.

Gale: Yellow Brick Road fails to bring any creativity or genuine scares in this extremely dull horror movie about The Wizard of Oz's Dorothy Gale having a generational curse passed down to her granddaughter. The story is lifeless and incoherent. Go to Full Review

The creepy imagery in the first act improperly sells just how dull the movie ultimately ends up being for the majority of its overlong runtime. Go to Full Review

The lack of cool-downs and breathers, plus the hasty pacing, indeed ensures this film is as nightmarish as possible; however, in the long run, not much of this nightmare will probably be remembered once it is over. Go to Full Review

This terrifying place called Oz is not the glitzy landscape we are all used to. Gale: Yellow Brick Road is a chilling story of discovery from a completely different perspective. Go to Full Review

Rainyday 2d I enjoyed seeing a new interpretation to the story of Oz. It was enjoyable to see what could be after Dorothy's return from Oz. The development of the story was interesting and different. Not everything seems to turn out wonderfully after all. See more Thomas 4d Wow, this was seriously disappointing! I can see why it was only shown for one night. They should have warned viewers that you need to watch the 1985 movie "Return to Oz" first—like anyone has even heard of it—to make sense of this film. I'm really surprised that Fathom would be associated with something like this. See more tim h 4d It was mediocre but slow paced throughout the whole movie, I recommend watching The Wizard of OZ (1939) first in order before watching Gale: yellow brick road (2026) to understand the story. See more Karen 4d Its more of a thriller than a horror film. It was different. Overall I did enjoy it. See more Melanie A 4d The theater never played the movie. We were all refunded. See more Jennifer 4d I was expecting something completely different when it was labeled as a horror movie. Don’t get me wrong I did jump in my seat several times, but to me it was more - it had a story, it was thought provoking. I was fun to see how it related to the Wizard of Oz we all know and love, but it was also a story of loss and how to cope that loss & how family protects each other. There were so many things to get out of this movie and it is one I could watch over again - to enjoy and try to understand even more. I was lucky enough to be sitting behind the mother of one of the producers and had a wonderful conversation with her about her son, some behind the scenes stuff, their opening in London and I could see how proud she was of her son and the rest of the crew. I’ve never been one to be interested in an independent film, but this one gave me a new perspective and I actually learned some history about Oz in the process. I have been a fan of the Wizard of Oz since I was a little girl and this movie did not disappoint on showing a different perspective. I wish them all the best of luck in their futures and can’t wait to see what they do next. See more Read all reviews
