TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Aug 27 Gnome Alone was surprisingly one of those animated films that completely missed the mark for me. Most animated movies can at least keep you entertained, even when they have flaws or missed opportunities, but this one felt like a complete misfire from beginning to end. The biggest problem was the inconsistent story. It felt like the filmmakers were trying to capitalize on the Home Alone connection through the title and certain elements of the plot, but instead of creating something that stood on its own, the similarities mostly felt like a running joke. There wasn’t enough substance behind the concept to make it feel meaningful. I also struggled with the animation. Everything seemed disjointed, and the visual style never felt completely consistent. The movie needed stronger world-building, better character development, and a story that actually knew where it wanted to go. There were plenty of opportunities to turn this into a fun and memorable animated adventure See more Read all reviews
