It seems to me that it took a Swedish director and actor to make a film outside of Hollywood that truly proves the importance of saving a marriage, especially for the sake of the children’s well-being. The movie centers around a couple who has fallen out of love: the husband has been unfaithful for what seems like a while, and the wife, a controlling figure, is desperately trying to hold their marriage together. The husband asks for a divorce, but the wife demands they go on one last vacation together before he leaves. She believes this trip is their chance to save their marriage—and, in the end, it works. By the end of the vacation, they rediscover their love for each other. Along the way, the husband realizes how much he has neglected his family, and the wife acknowledges her control issues. They both learn what truly matters in a marriage—keeping it together and making it work. While there are a few corny moments in the film, they were minor enough not to detract from my enjoyment. I encourage any couple facing challenges in their marriage to watch this film. It might make you strangely appreciate your spouse more, and if you're watching it alone, you'll likely feel compelled to call them just to hear their voice! See more Annette B @RT55177475 12/16/2024 Maybe I’m being a bit too harsh since I watched the English dubbed version and I sincerely hate dubbed movies, but this movie was just okay. The storyline was touching, but lacked real depth. The only line that really did stand out throughout the movie was, “every time you say that, I double it,” in response to one of the family members saying, “I love you.” All that said, it wasn’t too bad, at least it was a touching look at a family who starts out very strained and becomes stronger and better together. Women want to be appreciated to be acknowledged you become exhausted trying it’s real when they realize what they had and now there love one is gone.
