Taylor is a workaholic with not a lot going on in her social life. Olive is an aspiring actress, with little money to her name. As the holidays near, Taylor gets a call from her dad about visiting her family for Christmas and that they finally want to meet her girlfriend. She agrees, after feeling guilty about not seeing them in a long time, but there's a problem: Taylor and her girlfriend recently broke up. Not wanting her family to know that her relationship failed, Taylor considers looking for a date to hire. After a few bad dates, she decides to tell her parents the truth. But, wait, not before her coworker, unbeknownst to Taylor, puts an ad in the personals. But nobody reads those anymore, right? In a play of fate, one person accidentally stumbles upon the ad, Olive. After reading the amount of money being offered, she's determined to book this gig. As it's coming down to the wire, Taylor agrees and hires Olive. They head to her parents' house for the holidays and must convince everyone that they're in a romantic relationship and not the total strangers that they are.

It has all the makings of a classic Christmas Movie, so you’ll be able to guess much of it. However, isn’t that part of their allure and charm?! It’s sweet and safe because you know there will be a happy ending of some kind.

The modest, affable lesbian holiday rom-com, “Looking for Her,” uses the fake dating trope to get its two attractive opposites together — but the women are so likable that the ruse, however predictable and transparent, is never unpleasant.

honestly alexandra swarens could make anything and I’d watch it even especially if it’s lgtbq. this film was really wholesome and sweet. really fell in love with the characters. although it gave hallmark I did really enjoy this a lot more than I was expecting.

The dialogue was dubbed over, and for what? There was no chemistry between characters and the odds that Olive signs up for an ad for Taylor, not knowing she was a woman.. and is also queer. Sorry babe not gonna happen. Give lesbians better Christmas romance

The acting is not very good. I got maybe 20 minutes into the movie and it was kind of painful. The story is not smooth and the dialogue is poorly written. Very uncomfortable. And I like bad movies, but only if they’re good-bad. This is just bad. Zero out of Ten. I do not recommend at all.

This was the best WLW Movie I have ever seen! I've gotten so attached to the story of Olive and Taylor that they've touched my heart with how sweet the little things are shown in every bit of this film and the amount of details that has put in to create such a compelling romance movie, I have never resonated this much emotion with any actresses as them! I wish to see more of them both in the future if ever possible. <3
