Though he is the most brilliant supervillain the world has known, Megamind is the least successful. Thwarted time and again by heroic Metro Man, Megamind is more surprised than anyone when he actually manages to defeat his longtime enemy. But without Metro Man, Megamind has no purpose in life, so he creates a new opponent, who quickly decides that it's more fun to be a bad guy than a hero.

It regurgitates plot points from earlier animated efforts, and isn't quite as funny as it should be, but a top-shelf voice cast and strong visuals help make Megamind a pleasant, if unspectacular, diversion.

Evil defeats Good, Evil creates Good, but turns bad like a bowlful of yogurt left in the sun, Evil turns Good to fight said yogurt. Kids loved it, watched it an unfathomable amount of times, still enjoy it, lots of great lines and a soundtrack that rocked. Crabnuggets indeed, Tighten your belts and pop your pop-pid corn of deliciousness and sit back and enjoy a wonderful movie.

There's nothing more to say about this movie. How can you not give such a great film the recognition it deserves? As a kid, it was already a coveted prize, even from an unknown production company. And now that it's grown up, and considering how its predecessor ruined it, all that's left is to enjoy it and pretend there wasn't a prequel.

Somewhat entertaining. A recycled movie: recycled plot, jokes, lore, and music. I call it recycled instead of thievery and plagiarism. The only originality here is the mix of the cast. Totally predictable—worth four or five chuckles for adults, and a few laughs for kids who’ll want to switch to something else halfway through. Just a product, very average, failing even to sell toys. No big mind needed to enjoy it, but skipping the blue might be a wise time‑saver.
