Just pointless I never felt like this film knew where it was going or why it was being made the acting was sound, just a terrible meandering story that never really went anywhere or did anything. I'm not even sure why the monsters were in the film, they did so little and there is minimal interaction with the humans. I ended up just fast forwarding quite a bit to see if there was any kind of revelation or something that gave the film a point: there wasn't.
