John Myron (Adam Beach) and Angela Wilson (Mia Kirshner), who come from disparate backgrounds and cultures, become the most unlikely of friends, and the depth of their friendship only increases as they grow up. But Angela denies her feelings and instead gets involved with someone who tries to hurt her. John is there to help -- but rather than getting it together, Angela goes away. Eventually, John attempts to guide her back on a journey that will reveal much to her. But will Angela take it?
