Robin G @MsRobin 6d I watched this film out of curiosity about the plot. I found a lot of the acting less than believable, in terms of how the main characters expressed emotions and reactions, as opposed to how I think people in real life would be more likely to respond. One example - the teenage girl, "Care", showed more distress when her mother at first refused to reveal the identity of her father than in the scenes following the loss of her mother, with whom she seemed very close, and the only parent she knew. This film had the characters appearing to almost seamlessly slide into their trauma-affected lives without actually appearing to have experienced a major life event and its after effects. Hard to know why the movie was done that way, but in my opinion it was either weak directing, poor acting, or combination of both. The movie did show the father and daughter adjusting to each other and their new life together somewhat, but it was so low key that it did not feel believable. See more Read all reviews
