Dennis K @bennyjoeseph 4d Sandokan is a welcome change from video fare these days. It is very original and intriguing story that takes place around 1558-1603. The cinematography is worth the watch alone and is spectacular at times. Can Yaman creates a very unique character in Sandokan. Yaman delivers a superb performance but I think much of his performance ended being cut from the final video. Shades of woke ideology invade the plot line with dialog that interrupts the flow of an otherwise good storyline. It also lends inauthenticity to the story because the zeitgeist of the time didn't view slavery as evil and the concept of social justice under an absolute monarchy didn't exist. "My people" wasn’t a concept. Freeing slaves is a noble cause but given only eight episodes, too much time is given to that end. I would like to see much more swash in the buckle of this pirate story. I hope that this first season is laying the groundwork for a second season of great original action, bravery and romance.
