May not be a realistic plot, but personally I find movies to be a form of escape from reality. I find myself feeling really sad yet compassionate towards Will Smith's character. This is not an overstimulating movie and I find it to be more of a solitary watching situation. I consider it a serious and thoughtful movie. I thought it was beautiful and very thought provoking. The acting was beautiful and very heartfelt. Will Smith conveyed so many emotions, at times, without saying a word. His facial expressions almost make you feel as though you can hear his internal monologue. It’s very human. I was glued to the screen from the start and still wanting to know more after the end of the film. I also think it’s very telling of his behaviour, his daily interactions showcase how difficult it is to tell when someone is in a difficult place mentally. I thoroughly enjoyed this film.
