Even though it wasn't scary, it was still good. it has aged okay. The storyline kept you engaged while also being entertaining. Over all the movie was good and would recommend to anyone! Tammy: The beginning felt like it skipped over some parts and made it confusing. It lacked an explanation on what was going on and was constantly changing scenes. I liked the monsters. Na primeira parte onde a mãe corre por becos, a câmera faz os mesmos movimentos do jogo. O figurino e efeitos embora hoje podem parecer um tanto toscos, eram muito bons na época. O roteiro é um pouco perdido e sem conclusões diretas. As atuações bem clássicas. Um tipo de filme que hoje ao ser lançado seria considerado feminista, por deixar personagens homens em coadjuvante. I have absolutely zero nostalgia for this franchise, so I’m judging this purely as a standalone horror flick. And honestly? It’s not unwatchable. It’s just… a bit boring. Visually, it’s actually pretty great. The atmosphere is creepy, fog-drenched, ash falling from the sky, and some genuinely cool, unsettling monster designs. Where it drops the ball is the pacing. Man, it is slow. The first hour is basically just the main character wandering through the fog, screaming her daughter's name over and over again. By the time the plot finally starts explaining what's actually going on, it dumps a massive, exposition-heavy backstory on you right near the end that just feels clunky. If you're a die-hard fan of the games, maybe the easter eggs and lore carry it for you. But as a casual horror fan looking for a tight, suspenseful watch, it doesn't quite deliver.
