Although I don’t really like men in monster costumes, this wasn’t bad. They should have did a little better with the Bigfoot’s eyes but, it wasn’t bad, just don’t show closeups. The video quality wasn’t too good but we thought maybe it was suppose to reminisce or it was recorded on an old VCR recorder for the 60’s effect. Kind of like B rating acting but once again, it was more like family. I think for a B movie recorded in 2015, there should have been better quality video recording available, it got to fuzzy edged on the people, almost like a heat signature. Most of the acting was ok but just a little non professional. Some of the actors were convincable. That’s about it besides work on the White Balance better next time. Like I said, I did enjoy the movie because of the simplicity. See more derek h @RT40846046 11/17/2024 This Indie Film is a great revisit to an incident involving a family in rural Texas in the sixties in which they encounter a Sasquatch...if you've ever seen The Legend of Boggy Creek, you'll love this film...it just kinda grips you and by the end, I really enjoyed it...definitely must see See more Cindi M @RT44313096 08/11/2024 For a low budget film, this was pretty good. I watched the entire thing. The only reason I was interested was because it was set in the sixties, and it was Texas, which is where I grew up. The monster costume was clearly a costume, but it was pretty danged well put together, and can I just say the child actors were very believable... actually, all the acting was pretty on par. They did a really good job setting the scene as far as the time period except for one minor detail, the pickup truck was not a 66 or earlier model and it had an April 2012 inspection/registration sticker on the windshield, which I think they could have tried to cover up. Apparently somebody drives that truck every day :) however, having said all that, I really enjoyed it. I recommend it. See more 11/10/2021 I loved this movie. I was on a low-budget big foot kick and came across and watched Something in the Woods. Yeah it's low budget, but I like that. It's authentic and it has refreshingly normal characters. It's not slick or polished; there isn't a lot of gun-play; there's no sex and no foul language. There is a functional family; a dramatization of a real case; believable characters played by pretty good actors (some better than others); and behavior that is worth emulating. I like that it is not Hollywood and that I don't recognize the actors from ten other films. I guess I've watched it six times - it's a film I can go to now and then when I don't feel like searching for something new. Good flick to watch with kids - a little suspenseful and the behavior of the characters is real. Lot's of opportunities to say what would you do in that situation? See more 10/31/2020 To be fair, I had to stop this about 20 minutes in. The acting and dialogue made everything feel bad, and not the kind of bad I usually like to watch. This felt Riff Traxx bad, where the movies are almost universally worse without some snarky commentary in the background. STILL, I didn't get very far into it, so maybe it got better?
