Bill T. @btreakle 5h “State Of Fear. This film was a film about corrupt police gangs in prison and the retribution that takes place when things don't go right in a perfect world. A young African American girl gets caught up in the crossfire it becomes a hostage although it's trying to gain the system. Dirty cops and hardened criminals and those caught in between. It was interesting enough to let me watch it till the end, however…Very terrible plot, I feel like the script writer basically rotated around the same scenes over and over again. Screen play is also poor. Painfully watched it to the end though. Some scenes were honestly irrelevant, like the last scene??? A lot of unnecessary characters too. We do not get to fully understand who the main character was supposed to be. Is it the girl??? Her aunt?? Or her father? And the characters we started off with?? Hoped for a story behind them but none came. The screenplay feels scattered and underdeveloped, never fully committing to its premise or building meaningful suspense. Instead of creating tension, the story drifts without clear stakes or emotional payoff. The most damaging issue, however, is technical. The dubbing and subtitles are noticeably out of sync with the actors’ lips, making the film incredibly distracting and difficult to stay immersed in. This editing flaw overshadows the performances and weakens any momentum the film tries to build. Even without those issues, the narrative lacks originality and depth. Ultimately, State of Fear feels like a missed opportunity that will likely fade from memory quickly, offering little reason for viewers to return or recommend it to others.
