Sean S @RT53931465 Aug 15 Okay, full disclosure: I haven’t seen Stolen Kingdom. Early reviews make it sound fantastic and I want to see it, love it, spend money on it. But I can’t. The only option is streaming it on my phone (or awkwardly casting it). I watch movies in my theater, living room, or bedroom—not on a 6-inch screen. As a filmmaker, no one should watch a bona fide movie that way. Half a star… for marketing. That’s my whole argument. I live in the 5th-largest U.S. city and there’s zero theatrical availability. 85% of the country isn’t in LA or NYC. They even pulled back from VOD to stretch a limited theater run to even fewer people. Massive missed opportunity. What a fail. What starts as a story about curiosity and park exploring slowly turns into something more wild, with theft, obsession, and a real mystery at the center. I liked that it does not feel too heavy, but it still makes you think about how far passion can go when people stop respecting boundaries. It is fast, entertaining, and full of odd moments that keep you watching. Even if you are not a huge Disney fan, this one has enough true-crime energy to hold your attention. See more Giordano S @RT54308078 Jun 15 This doc is a fast-paced RIOT! It's fun, transgressive, and FUNNY! Fully enjoyable even if you're not a die-hard Disnerd. The characters get wilder and wilder as the story progresses. The filmmakers do a great job of setting the context of how we got to where we are (youtuber secret disney exposer craziness) by going back to origins of disney explorers. The story takes a few fun and unexpected turns along the way, a few celeb cameos, a few wild on-screen admissions with subjects saying mind-blowing/mind-numbing things on camera. You can tell the creators put a lot of years and a lot of love into this project and it translates beautifully into a fantastic doc! See more James M @James885 May 26 What is the Mona Lisa worth? It's just canvas and paint. This movie is a laugh riot of a punk rock doc with a big heart. See it in a theater, the audience reactions are worth it. See it at home.
