As the story progresses, the audience witnesses flashbacks of the killer's traumatic past and the reasons behind his violent nature. However, this effort feels forced as the scenes of human slaughtering are the only cinematic aspect that stands out. The final act unravels a twist that is simultaneously ridiculous and unconvincing. You feel him every time he’s on screen. What I liked most is that it doesn’t just play it safe. There’s a shift in the final act that adds something extra and makes it feel more thought-through than your typical low-budget horror. A well-executed indie horror with enough edge to stand out.
