The first film’s narrative was intrinsically tied with building things and creativity, ideas heavily associated with Lego. This just feels like a generic kids movie adventure that would work with or without the Legos.

A sequel that lost almost all the magic, originality, and freshness of the first film. The script tries to be very clever with its metaphors about growing up and the real world, but ends up becoming confusing and tiresome. The forced jokes and songs don't have the same impact, resulting in a noisy and soulless film that fails to recapture the charm of the original.

The movie had a good pace and a few decent jokes. The problem is that after the ending of the first one, all tension and mistery is gone. This one is also extremely random, like they tried to mash everything together. I know it fits the story(because of the kids sister), but i still couldn't help but feel like i was watching someone's mushroom trip. It still managed to wrap up things nicely, but like i said, after that ending in the first one, it's hard to surprise the audience.
