London, today. A refugee washes up naked in a suitcase on the bank of the Thames. The enigmatic, sexually fluid stranger introduces himself to a bourgeois, upper class family. He is invited to stay on as an employee. The Visitor soon seduces each member of the family in a series of explicit sexual encounters. LaBruce’s The Visitor is a timely piece of cinema that wants to shake up the white, hetero-patriarchal order of Western societies and get you off in the process, as long as that post-nut clarity pushes revolution from the bedroom into the streets.

With The Visitor, it feels that La Bruce is repeating himself through pastiche, reusing old ideas through older narratives, puncturing them with an empty provocation that grows tired far quicker, culminating in a fairly gruelling 100 minutes.
