Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished years earlier. Tomb Raider is a step in a the right direction for a genre desperately needing a turn-in critical performance. While nothing to boast about with 34 films in the genre thus far, the 50 percent rating on rotten tomatoes moves the needle up.

Not what a Tomb Raider movie should be. Instead of being charismatic, educated, smart and confident woman, Lara is a whiny, scared and almost constantly overwhelmed girl thrown around by circumstances.

Poorly scripted fiction loosely based off the video games. Rather than an intelligent heroine, we get an ignorant girl who makes all the wrong choices, starting with her choice to let her family estate go into disrepair with the possibility of getting sold off because she refuses to believe her father is dead. The writers tried to make her down to earth when in reality she was just ignorant and easily taken advantage of. The plot was lacking and the story dragged. Dont waste your time.

It was good and the actors were great I recommend if you like tomb raider but it is not whatsoever like the game, the story is not the game so if you are watching it for an exact video game adaptation then it is not the movie for you.
