Jays R @Jay_fx 7h As someone who watched 9/11 unfold live and still carries emotional scars, I found this documentary deeply offensive. Brian Knappenberger barely examines al-Qaeda, the radical Islamist jihadist ideology behind the attacks, their worldwide trauma, or the wider terrorist threat later seen in London’s 7/7 bombings. Instead, he turns 9/11 into a politically correct lecture about Trump, ICE, immigration enforcement and America’s failures. Its treatment of Afghanistan is equally selective, barely acknowledging that President Biden made the final decision and oversaw the disastrous withdrawal. The victims of 9/11, their families, and everyone who died or suffered in Afghanistan and Iraq deserved an honest, balanced account—not to have their pain exploited for political point-scoring. Poorly structured, agenda-driven and deeply unethical, it felt like using the victims’ graves as a platform for the director’s politics. Netflix should be ashamed. Zero stars if I could.
