After losing yet another job, George (Weird Al Yankovic) wonders if there is any career that can handle his outrageous personality. When George's uncle (Stanley Brock) hands him the deed to a local TV station, George creates a series of television shows based on social satire and hyperactive humor, with the help of his best friend, Bob (David Bowe). However, a rival station's bitter CEO (Kevin McCarthy) tries to destroy George's wacky programming, forcing him to fight back.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

UHF is undeniably my favorite movie ever created. I adore this film. It's hilarious to the people who get it. The jokes from this movie are my family's inside jokes that we've been telling for years (thanks to my dad). It never gets old. This is my top movie on letterboxed. Truly the best film ever. I think the people critiquing it are just grumpy and hate fun. If you have a family and you love them, watch this film.

The story of a natural loser who strikes gold with an abandoned TV channel bears the hallmarks of Weird Al Jankovic, namely his parodic and boastful humour. If anything, his fans will be grateful; those who aren't, look elsewhere.

UHF is delightfully wacky, and does good work giving Weird Al's custom blend of satire and silly parody a chance to tackle TV, commercial media, and the powers that be. The film is uneven, sure, but holds up remarkably well as a spirited social commentary comedy that has something to say. It deserves its cult classic status, though the juvenile humor will always perhaps be best for, well, juvenile audiences.
