Mini M @RT55253228 Oct 18, 2026 This movie is the epitome of 80's action films. Yeah it's stupid with cars exploding, infinite ammo, and Arnold ripping out a chair and still being visible, but the shootout and final battle is so good! It's also the fact that this movie has really cool one liners, and one liners are ALWAYS cool. See more Farah R @Farah Sep 20, 2026 It’s taken me so long to finally watch Commando, and I can instantly see why it’s regarded as a classic. It’s pure adrenaline from start to finish. Everything about it is unapologetically over-the-top ’80s, and I absolutely loved it. The action, the one-liners, and the set pieces make it all the more compelling. Commando has officially been added to my list of action classics, right under Die Hard. See more Frans B @FransB Aug 19, 2026 Will always be a classic in my book. Raw story with pure grit, no nonsense. Fast paced action and storytelling. Some funny haha and funny peculiar moments makes it nearly comedic. Great cinematography and visually stunning. Lots of bare knuckled action, grit, some heart, drama, suspense, old school feel, twists, emotion and intrigue. Iconic through and through See more Chris S @Janomi Jul 19, 2026 Commando is very entertaining because it gives Arnold Schwarzenegger one of his purest action-star showcases. John Matrix is basically an unstoppable action figure, and Schwarzenegger plays him with the perfect mix of brute strength, deadpan humor, and absurd confidence. The rescue plot is extremely simple, but that is part of the appeal. Matrix’s daughter is kidnapped, time is limited, and everyone responsible is going to pay. There is no unnecessary complexity, just stripped-down revenge action, ridiculous one-liners, and nonstop escalation. The final assault is gloriously excessive, with Matrix blowing up buildings, mowing down soldiers, throwing blades, and surviving impossible odds like a one-man army. The villains are cartoonish, and the logic is absurd even by action-movie standards, but that is also the fun. Commando is dumb, loud, ridiculous, and completely enjoyable. This movie is really the best to me and will always remain one of the best See more Chris H @RT60525826 Jun 18, 2026 For a Schwarzenegger film, this is poor. The plot is wafer thin, some of the acting is awful and when Arnie attacks a fortified compound and kills over a hundred armed mercenaries (who are somehow unable to shoot him in broad daylight and when he has no cover) you know the whole thing is nuts. It's not without its moments though. See more Read all reviews
