If you are going to watch one Alien homage, then I would recommend Galaxy of Terror.

Some ripe performances and a thinly developed script kill this, but then again, where else can you find such an eclectic cast?

Creature designs and copious amounts of goo look good (James Cameron served as a production designer), but they're unable to enhance a story this poorly arranged.

It's space trash but, I guess, you got to hand it to Corman for knowing how to make a film on a shoestring budget that turns a profit.

Good, dumb, gory fun. And the blu-ray is pretty amazing.

A certain James Cameron (you may have heard of him) worked as production designer on this cheap 1981 Alien rip-off, now on DVD and Blu-ray for the first time.

Why Eddie Albert and Erin Moran? Two of the worst actors. Robert Englund would have been a better choice for Cabren. Corman really screwed this movie up bad. Especially when he could have had James Cameron direct it.

Laughably bad almost ridiculously funny the poor acting the poor special effects all the mumbo-jumbo with screens and monitors that make absolutely no sense flashing lights meaningless dialogue..The only thing that partly redeemed it is a few good kills. Most of this movie is one big joke, trying to be event horizon mixed with alien and it’s laughably Ludacris. It’s not aging well either. It looks even worse now.

Yet another one of these 'sci fi / horror gems' spruked by some guy with a deep voice in a YouTube video proclaiming here's 10 highly underrated classics... Absolute rubbish... I lasted 2 minutes, 1 minute and 59 seconds more than it deserved. How did this get 36% on RT🤷‍♂️? Absolutely baffling...
