No chase scene and you get one of the worst and useless films that you will ever see. As an excuse for someone to crash dozens of cars on camera its brilliant. If this is your niche or kink you will absolutely adore it. If you want your story properly explained or want some characters that feel real or use common sense you better watch the remake because that is at least a movie. I do rewatch this from time to time because I love the blatantness of the filmmaker/driver. It's so unapologetic about what it is and who it is for. Anyone involved in the production who thought they were making a legit movie was fooling themselves. From the voiceover dialogue that explains the "plot" to the unlikableness of the main character you are constantly asking yourself "Why did they do it that way?" My favorite part of the story though is the complete BS they try to sell by not stealing uninsured cars and how the main character is above dealing drugs while nearly killing hundreds. See more Chris Z @Chris_Z Feb 7, 2024 I'm guessing this movie got its inspiration from Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen. It's an interesting story, albeit made in the 70's, so the acting and pacing isn't fabulous, and compared to the remake, it's a little underwhelming. BUT.... if you want to see one of the greatest half-hour car chases in movie history, you have to check it out. The car chase is unreal. Worth a look if you're nostalgic for the original versions of the Hollywood remakes. See more Read all reviews
