k W @RT44024152 Sep 12, 2026 This was the first movie my wife and I watched on a first date. We went to the movie only because we had run out of things to talk about over dinner and after, and we didn't want it to end. The movie was forgettable but we've been married since 1993. I think it’s funny, and I really love Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith here, I think maybe they were at their best in this time. See more Alain E @AlainE Jul 10, 2025 Too silly for me. I may try the original if available on line. Melanie didn't do radically worse than Holliday had done, even though it was indeed a step down. I enjoyed the changes they made to the screenplay, but I think more of the blame for this one's lack of success lies in the casting rather than the execution as it's very difficult to look at Goodman as a believable villain. If he was an excellent bad guy his name would be Badman, but it isn't and he was right in the middle of his star-making Roseanne show when he did this.
