Critics Consensus

Airborne skates downhill with a threadbare story, flat characters, and wince-inducing dialogue.

The occasional action scenes are as appropriately tortuous as the tired teen-out-of-water plot is torturous. This is a kid-flick that's speed-skating on one leg. Go to Full Review William Thomas Empire Magazine Sep 30, 2019

Predictable teen-slush. Go to Full Review Stephen Hunter New York Daily News Sep 30, 2019
The movie turns out to be hyperslick, quite well made in the technical sense (beautifully photographed and designed) and somewhat shallow, another exploration of that perennial and passionate teen theme, fitting in. Go to Full Review tt stern-enzi Cincinnati CityBeat Aug 26, 2023

See more Draper W @RT64031687 Mar 20, 2025 This movie is a classic teen movie from the early 90s. My cousins and I loved this movie. I loves it more though. I was a skater back then and I felt like the main character cause I too had a passion for something that I no longer could enjoy in my new location. And the song by Jeremy Jordan- My love is good enough was the icing on the cake. That song is still in my rotation. See more Read all reviews
