But since it's a comedy, I'll buy it. The point it was making was totally true for the society we live in. But... as a comedy, I expect more laughs. I don't mind so much the formula, it's the fact that there's no energy here whatsoever. Whoopi is an investment advisor who's being sidelined in New York's Financial District by The Boy's Club; so she invents a male boss, to give herself more gravitas and credibility. Pretty soon she's dressing up in man-drag to get herself a seat at the table. Yawn. I can hear the formula churning away as we speak. Everyone involved needs to try a little harder.
