Most shark thrillers leave you dissatisfied. Not “Above & Below,” which metes out the shark attacks when warranted and makes them less CGI corny and more realistic. Go to Full Review

If you’re in the mood for pure entertainment and edge of seat thrills, then check out Above And Below. Sure it’s preposterous, but you’re absolutely assured a a damn good time. Climb aboard, set sail – but just don’t get into the water! Go to Full Review

The script teases a recurrent theme about the dangerous outcome of keeping secrets, but as with the characters and anything resembling logic, it ultimately does nothing with it. Go to Full Review

If only Jesse V. Johnson's trapped-in-the-boat action thriller were as riveting as its underwater shark horror. Go to Full Review

...despite some chuckles and suspense in Above and Below, I still imitate Wile E. Coyote and remain full of doomed optimism, ready to keep chasing till I find my prey—a shark movie whose bite challenge Jaws. Go to Full Review

Amariah E @RT97379312 8h I made an account just to write this review. This movie was a very hard watch; I could barely get through the entirety of the film. As mentioned in several other reviews, the acting is fine; they did their jobs- no outstanding, outlandish performances, but watchable acting. Yet, due to the script and overall quality of the film, it made it impossible. For example, every single underwater scene is horrible; the clear voice-over work completely takes you out of the seeming high stakes and right into the studio, standing next to the actor with their headphones and mic. There are so many flaws, but I don't care to list them all. I know I said the acting was fine, but some scenes were just poorly executed. I like the idea of the film, but it could've been executed better. All in all, GG's. P.S Hey, maybe try making us emotionally invested in your characters. See more A Z @KPYRggeMqz 9h Pretty good plot for a movie of this kind. See more Slick R @SlickReviewer 17h Low budget B movie. Not that many sharks. Main girl is kinda cute, but the plot is just lame. See more ARNEZ C @Arny6tearz 2d I would have liked to seen more sharks they were half the focus of the movie but the action Ok kinda feels like Ive enough of the bad trope just to be bad for the sake of it See more Dell T @Dellt211 5d It was one of the worst movies I've seen lately, and not due to the actors, but the script and continuity. You have scenes underwater where the two girls are talking back and forth as if they can see each other and they can't. There are several scenes where the smaller boat tied to the larger one has simply vanished, not there. But later it magically returns. The actors did their jobs, the script and putting it all together sucks. I kept saying damn, stick to the bounds of reality. I would not recommend this movie to anyone...One Star too many. See more tm11999 M @tm11999 6d shark movie with antonio as the crazy suave bad guy. girl butts are super appealing and tim murphy should do every movie he can. the haters just don't like stories. you can watch this.
