This shows the surreality of a young quarterback replacing an older quarterback and the drama and the intricate dynamics in running a football franchise. See more Mike b @RT81364061 Aug 19 If you’ve come for Pacinos speech at the end fine, but the rest of this on revisiting years after my first watch is a narrative mess. There are some reasonable performances turned in but the characters all have the character drive of a coked up after party. Character development is a flip of a coin in any given scene until the inevitable “now we learn how to win together moments”. It’s thrown about with cliche drugs and violence with no respect to the realism of the sport. The most credit you can give it is drawing attention to concussions before the NFL ever did. If you want some popcorn with handheld camera work that’s both shaken and stirred, enjoy yourself. But I’d recommend this one as a background film at a tailgater at best. See more Read all reviews
