Critics Consensus

Effortlessly mixing scares, laughs, and social commentary, Attack the Block is a thrilling, briskly-paced sci-fi yarn with a distinctly British flavor.

Look, this is a nicely performed film which is kept quick and tight, but for a comic horror it's just not funny or horrifying enough. Go to Full Review

Not only is Attack the Block wickedly entertaining, but it's also well-written, suspenseful, whip-smart and moves rocket fast. Go to Full Review

Oaklee D @ODie63 17h A fun sci-fi action comedy that is a solid choice for your next movie night. See more M J @MJLO26 Jan 31 Completely ridiculous but brilliant at the same time. See more Lucky L @Lupus Jan 1 Great stuff, fun to watch, good acting, exciting story, and above all, great social commentary. Humor and message are not that simple and obvious as I thought, it all requires some thought, which is good. See more Poncho J @BoyBavvang Nov 30 It's almost good, but it doesn't quite deliver. See more Jack F @MovieFan111 Nov 21 Interesting movie about aliens. In my opinion, the cover is very misleading. They used too much of that cheesy slang in this movie. See more Big D @Drazker Nov 3 Lets start off simple. Very messy and silly plot, BUT made up in comedic value. Great acting from an underground cast with symbolism littered throughout the film. For a film nearly 15 years old on a small budget the special effects were solid. Due to the simple fact as an American i found the British humor hilarious, combined with it being a classic cosmic horror blend i would of given this a 4.5 at face value, but the unnecessary pet death is always a turn off. Final rating 4/5. Must watch if you're seeking a genuine funny horror film. See more Read all reviews
